Continually looking to enrich its educational offer, the University of Padua offers five new master's degree (LM) courses taught in English.  Two courses from the Department of Industrial Engineering (DII), two by the Department of Biology (DiBio), and one by the Department of Technology and Industrial Systems Management (DTG).

Scheduled for the next academic year, we have 60 active study courses in English (around a third of the total courses provided), of which 8 three-year and single-cycle degree courses and 52 master's degree courses. The new master's degree courses in English at DiBio offer students a stimulating educational environment, with seminars and lessons held by international visiting scientists who introduce students to a global context. Field activities in the area, such as sampling experiences in marine and terrestrial environments, and laboratory and exercise activities offer the possibility of experimenting with research activities, including their development, data collection and analysis, and discussion of the results. Interactive activities, such as Journal Club for the critical discussion of scientific articles and group work, allow the acquisition of soft skills that will facilitate graduates entering the world of work, as well as internship paths at foreign universities and laboratories, both European and non-European, facilitated in their journey also by the language in which the teaching is delivered.

University and Municipality of Padua sign a memorandum of understanding for the reception and inclusion of refugees and asylum seekers in university training courses. The signed memorandum defines and strengthens the institutional framework of collaboration between the subjects involved and remains open to other public, central, and local institutions, as well as to the membership of other civil society organizations.

The agreement aims to share and support enrollment opportunities in university studies for applicants and holders of international protection. The goal is to promote access to university studies for those who have not been able to continue their studies in their own country by including and integrating them into the local and national socio-cultural fabric. Holders of international protection asylum permits include subsidiary protection, special protection, and medical care, while those requesting asylum have access to SAI (Sistema di accoglienza e integrazione) programs.

The initiative, which started from an initiative of the Vice Rectorate for the Right to Education Policies at Unipd, represented by Prof. Matilde Girolami, was launched in the summer of 2023, bringing together the Municipality in collaboration with the University of Padua, ESU, and the social partners, with the formalization of five cohabitation experiences. The Municipality of Padua promotes the second edition of the intergenerational cohabitation project in response to the significant increase in rental prices, and the number of requests for affordable accommodations from Unipd students.

The initiative, which started from an initiative of the Vice Rectorate for the Right to Education Policies at Unipd, represented by Prof. Matilde Girolami, was launched in the summer of 2023, bringing together the Municipality in collaboration with the University of Padua, ESU, and the social partners, with the formalization of five cohabitation experiences. One of these experiences was also talked about in an episode of Pif's program "Caro Marziano": watch the episode online.

Applications will remain open until August 31st for those over 65 to host off-site students looking for accommodation for the next academic year. The application for participation must be sent via the appropriate online form, available on the Progetto Giovani website.

For further information or to receive support in completing the form, a dedicated desk is available at the Youth Project office, on the second floor of the Altinate San Gaetano Cultural Centre.
