Guided tours to Palazzo Bo

Palazzo Bo, is the main seat of the University of Padua and it is located in the historical medieval heart of town (via VIII Febbraio 2 - 35122 Padova).

Self-guided tours are not available at Palazzo Bo: access to the building is only possible by guided tour. Please contact  the call centre at +39 049 8273939

Guided tours last 45 minutes and take place from Monday to Saturday; they include Anatomical Theatre and, if not occupied by events or institutional activities, the Great Hall, The Hall of Forty and the Room of Medicine. The maximum number of participants per tour is 40. Tour will be alternately in Italian and English.

Guided Tours are suspended from the 24th December to the 1st January 2019.

Tours will be regularly scheduled starting from the 2nd January 2019.

  Tickets: prices and sale

Ticket office is open from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm. It is located in the hallway between the Old and the New Courtyard of Palazzo Bo.

  • € 7,00: single adults (26-64 years);
  • € 5,00: over 65, mixed group (15-40 people), UniPadova Alumni, teachers and professors no UniPadova, Padova card;
  • € 4,00: UniPadova arts e science (showing the ticket from Botanical Garden / Sala dei Giganti);
  • € 3,00: young people (13-25 years), Servizio Civile volunteers, classes (15-50 students);
  • € 15,00: family ticket: 2 adults plus 1 to 3 children (max. 17 years)
  • Free admission: children (0-5 years), under 13 (6-12 years with a pay adult), UniPadova Students, UniPadova Professors and employees, UniPadova Senior Scholars, journalists , guides, groups couriers, disabled people and their helpers, institutional guests and authorities on official visits to the University.

  How to get to Palazzo Bo

The nearest airport to Padua is the Marco Polo International Airport (about 30 Km) Connections are provided by a bus service (Busitalia), running every half an hour to the Padua train Station (Trenitalia; Italo), which is close to the city centre. From there you can reach Palazzo Bo on foot in about 15 minutes. There is also a tram service - Sir 1 line - running every 10 minutes from the station to the vicinity of Palazzo Bo (Ponti romani tram stop).

Palazzo Bo lies in a limited traffic area (ZTL) where cars are not allowed without a special permission. The nearest parking lots can be found in Prato della Valle area (15 minutes, on foot).
