UNIPhD - Why choosing the University of Padua?

UNIPhD - Why @Unipd?

History and tradition

Unipd, founded in 1222 A.D., is the second oldest University in Italy. Seeking freedom of thought in teaching and learning, it is profoundly loyal to its motto Universa Universis Patavina LibertasPadua liberty (is) for all and in all areas of science. Today Unipd is one the foremost Universities in Italy in terms of size, quality and variety of research scope. With over 60.000 students, Unipd obviously has a strong connection with the city of Padua, being one of its landmark institutions.

A city for students

The student-filled piazzas, the open air of the river banks enjoyed by joggers, a summer aperitif on the Piovego waterfront, not to mention an abundance of cultural, musical and sporting events... all features of a student-friendly, vibrant and welcoming city where students can spend time in places full of history, art and beauty, like the Botanical Garden where they can go free of charge. Many different languages can be heard when walking around the city streets, not least as a result of the continuous flow of international tourists.
