Academic Senate of 10 May 2022

Enhancing training for newly recruited fixed-term researchers aimed at initial professional development
The courses are intended to provide the necessary skills, typical of the role (faculty member), useful for the management of learning contexts and processes. The initiative falls within the Teaching4learning@Unipd project, active since 2016 with the aim of contributing to the improvement and innovation of teaching in the degree courses offered by the University of Padua.
In particular, it has been established that the New Faculty training course will be compulsory for new fixed-term researchers of type A and B recruited from 1 September 2022. The course must be completed within 18 months of recruitment. The hours committed to the New Faculty Course may be self-certified by researchers as hours committed to teaching activity and student service for the academic year in which the training takes place, up to a maximum of 35 hours. To this end, subject to the favourable opinion of the Board of administration, the Regulations on the teaching duties of professors and researchers and on the methods for verifying and self-certifying the actual performance of teaching activity and student service have been amended.
Alias Careers: new Guidelines
The procedures for access to and management of Alias Careers at the University have been revised, with a view to procedural simplification and greater protection of the confidentiality of transgender people.
The procedure is initiated at the request of the person concerned, with no longer any need for supporting documentation, and provides for the signing of a confidentiality agreement setting out how the Alias Career may be used within the University.
The University then issues the University badge and email account with new personal details, which are valid exclusively for internal career records. The assigned alias identity is provisional and transitional until the possible completion of the gender affirmation process or change of registered identity.
Those enrolled in the University’s degree courses and post-lauream programmes may apply for an Alias Career.
Summer Courses in Bressanone 2021/2022 edition
The traditional Summer Courses in Bressanone are starting again, confirming the great success of an initiative which for many years now – apart from the interruption of the 2020 edition due to the pandemic – has enriched the degree courses of the University of Padua. There are 51 courses in total proposed by seven University Schools and organised into two sessions (18 July – 30 July and 1 August – 13 August), reserved for those enrolled in the University's degree courses.
Applications for enrolment must be submitted from 17 May to 15 June 2022, upon payment of a fee of 55 euros, which allows attendance of up to two courses.
Further general information and the course programmes are available on the University website at http://www.unipd.it/corsi-estivi-bressanone.
