STARS Grants 2017
Call for Proposals 2017
Through the initiative “Supporting TAlent in ReSearch@University of Padova” - STARS Grants, the University of Padova intends to promote and encourage high quality, innovative and ambitious research in Padova, with the final goal of strengthening the ability to attract external competitive grants, in particular those awarded by the European Research Council.
STARS Grants are envisaged to fund research projects for the duration of two years. Three types of grants are foreseen:
STARS Starting Grants (STARS-StG), designed to fund excellent PIs in their early career stage who are about to establish their own research team and/or who are starting their own independent research;
STARS Consolidator Grants (STARS-CoG), designed to fund excellent PIs, who are already conducting research at the University of Padova and are in the phase of consolidating their own research team and/or their own independent research.
STARS Wild Card Grants (STARS-WiC), designed to fund PIs who submitted a project under the 2014, 2015, or 2016 ERC calls for proposals, indicating the University of Padova UniPD as their Host Institution and obtaining a final mark of "A", they thus qualified for funding but were not funded due to budget limits.
