Qualifications
PhD in Sociology since 2004, since 2015 I am Associate Professor in Sociology of Cultural and Communication Processes (SPS/08). In April 2018 I received the National Scientific Qualification as Professor of General Sociology (SPS/07 ). I'm a member of the Scientific Board in Political and Social Sciences at the University of Padua.
I am currently delegate for the FISPPA department in CIRSIM (Interdepartmental Research Centre for Intercultural Studies and Migration); member of GAV (Group of Self-Evaluation), responsible for Internships and Traineeships and Responsible for the Erasmus flow Padova-Oporto for several BA an MA. Up to academic year 2016/2017 I was a member of the Committee of the School of PhD in Social Sciences; as of next October I will be a member of the Teachers' Board of the same school.

Teaching Activity

Academic year 2023/2024:
- Scientific Writing Workshop: 9.41;
- Sociological Theory and Social Change: 8.38;
- Sociology of Human Mobility: 8.39.




During 2017/2019 I also taught "Intercultural Communication" and "Migration, Ethics and Human Rights" at Venice International University, a network of 20 international universities.

At the University of Padua I am also teaching in the following post-graduate classes: in the Master's Degree in Religion, Politics and Citizenhip and in the Doctorate School in Social Sciences at the University of Padua.

I have also been visiting professor or lecturer at the following foreign universities: Potsdam (Germany), Middlesex University in London, Eskisehir (Turkey), Oporto (Portugal).



Research and publications (see cv)
I have carried out research activities in National projects, university projects, ESF funds for the social integration of refugees and the Ministry of the Interior.

I am the author of 8 monographs and many articles and contributions in volumes. For more details on these points of activity as a speaker in conferences, see attached cv.
