Tuition fees, scholarships and PhD opportunities
A scholarship may be awarded for attendance in PhD courses, which currently amounts to 16.243,00 euro per year, paid in 12 monthly installments. The scholarship is subject to social security deductions in accordance with current regulations, and its suspension may be requested in the event of illness or maternity.

Students enrolled in PhD programmes contribute to the cost of their university education by paying an amount that includes the regional tax and stamp duty. For detailed information on fees, reductions and deadlines, it is necessary to consult the PhD candidates' Contributions overview.
PhD students can request an increase in their scholarship for stays abroad.
The procedures, timelines and methods for submitting the documentation relating to the authorization and the declarations of the start and conclusion of the activity abroad, which students enrolled in PhD programmes must refer to, are detailed in the information notice.

SMART PhD, a call promoted by UniSMART in collaboration with the University of Padua, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo, Intesa Sanpaolo and Confindustria Veneto Est, is a project aimed at developing public-private partnerships and fostering mutual collaboration between the university and businesses through the activation of 12 themed research PhD scholarships, co-financed for an amount of EUR 30,000 for each activated scholarship and focused on innovation and the economic and social development of the local area.
