Research projects and active surveys on inclusion issues
Soft skills, or soft skills, are individual skills that allow you to achieve personal goals and better interpersonal relationships related to psychological well-being in adolescence and adulthood.
At an academic level, soft skills can be essential to cope with the demands and the study load. The aim of this research is to evaluate the relationship between soft skills, academic performance, motivation, study approach and academic satisfaction of students with SLD and/or ADHD.
By participating in the study, the first part is asked to provide some personal information (age, gender, level of education, presence of learning difficulties) and related to the resources that the University makes available to support the study.
In the second part there are four short questionnaires relating to: transversal skills, approach to study, understood as strategies used, sense of self-efficacy in studying, academic satisfaction, which concerns the sense of well-being related to one's university career.
The expected time for completion is about 15 minutes.
In this way, it is possible to understand how to improve university services, and what interventions can be promoted to enhance students' transversal skills.

The De. Co. Ne. The University's Lab Research Group is conducting new scientific research aimed at investigating the short-term effects of play on cognitive, reading and sensory-motor skills in the Italian and Belgian populations. In particular, he deals with neurodevelopmental disorders and, in particular, tests the effectiveness of treatments with action video games to improve reading difficulties. Along with many other research groups, it was found that repeated play sessions with action video games resulted in improvements in attentional skills, reading, and phonological skills, even in people diagnosed with developmental dyslexia (Bavelier & Green, 2019 Neuron for a review).
The goal of the research is therefore to compare the performance obtained after two single 30-minute gaming sessions. Those who wish to contribute to this project can meet our experts on two days, one week apart. The duration of the first session will be about an hour and a half, while the other will be only an hour. It involves playing several mini-games of Rayman Raving Rabbids (on Nintendo Wii®), and carrying out some simple computer tests and reading.
This study is important to better understand not only developmental dyslexia, as well as other typically associated learning disorders, but also all the cognitive processes underlying reading skills, regardless of the language spoken.
The more participants you can involve, the better the data and the better the possibility of understanding the cognitive processes underlying reading. The world of research needs the greatest possible contribution and this could prove to be a valuable opportunity to actively participate!
