To enrol at the University of Padua, you must follow a number of steps:

[1] Carefully read the admissions notice for the Bachelor's Degree Programme, Master's Degree Programme or single-cycle Master's Degree Programme you are interested in;

[2] register on the portal www.uniweb.unipd.it (if you do not already have your login credentials);

[3] complete the pre-enrolment application for the Bachelor's Degree Programme, Master's Degree Programme or single-cycle Master's Degree Programme you are interested in on the portal www.uniweb.unipd.it;

[4] pay the pre-enrolment fee (where required) of 30 euros via the PagoPA procedure (instructions are available on the dedicated page) or via the MAV payment form available on the portal www.uniweb.unipd.it under the item “Tasse”, observing the deadlines set out in the admissions notice.

[5] sit the relevant admission test (for limited-access programmes) or mandatory assessment test (for open-access programmes), or complete the application for assessment of the minimum curricular requirements (for Master's Degree Programmes) according to the instructions set out in the relevant admissions notice;

[6] for limited-access programmes, consult the rankings on the dates indicated in the admissions notices;

complete the enrolment application (tutorial) on the portal www.uniweb.unipd.it by the stated deadlines, while at the same time paying the first instalment of the university tuition fees via the PagoPA procedure or via the MAV payment form available on the portal www.uniweb.unipd.it under the item “Diritto allo studio, disabilità/DSA corsi estivi > Contribuzione”.

Please note: to speed up the completion of enrolment, online payment through the PagoPA procedure by credit card is preferable. This type of payment is the only one that allows same-day registration of the payment in the uniweb system. Other PagoPA or MAV payment methods involve processing times of between 15 and 30 days. Only after the registration of payment of the first instalment of tuition fees can the relevant office proceed with checking the candidate’s details, completing the enrolment and assigning the student ID number.

[7] check any subsequent enrolment steps in the procedure indicated on the page dedicated to admissions notices; in most cases it is not necessary to go to any service desk to complete enrolment: you will receive an automatic email confirming enrolment with your student ID number and email account, which is also used to access the portal www.uniweb.unipd.it

[8] wait for the Carta Flash Studio to be sent to your home address approximately thirty to forty days after enrolment has been completed. Information at the dedicated link: https://www.unipd.it/cartaflash

The date of first enrolment in the university system (S.U.), which you will need to declare during the online enrolment procedure, is the year in which the student first enrolled for the first time in a Bachelor's Degree Programme at any Italian university.

Examples:
Marco has just finished secondary school and is enrolling in a Bachelor's Degree Programme. The S.U. year is the current year.
Sofia, who holds a degree in Chemistry, is enrolling in a Master's Degree Programme. The S.U. year is the year of enrolment in the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Chemistry.
Stefano is enrolled in the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Philosophy and decides to withdraw in order to enrol in the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Political Science. The S.U. year is the year of enrolment in the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Philosophy.
Francesca has completed a single course and now wishes to enrol in a Bachelor's Degree Programme. The S.U. year is the current year, since enrolment in single courses is not considered enrolment in the S.U.

A student who intends to enrol in a master's degree programme, unless otherwise indicated in the relevant admissions notice, must complete the online application for assessment of the minimum curricular requirements and wait for any positive outcome of the assessment by the committee before being able to proceed with enrolment.
