The international event “Padova meets Yokohama”, which is taking place at Palazzo Bo on 17th September 2018, is the outcome of a long and fruitful collaboration in research and educational fields between the University of Padova and the Yokohama National University. In particular, four panels will work on current issues of common interest during the meeting: Battery and Fuel cells, Mechatronics and ICT, Smart materials and composites and Smart urban mobility.

The opening (Aula E, 9.00am-10.30am) and closing (Aula E, 4.00pm-5.30pm) ceremonies are open to the public until seats are available. Panel participation is managed by each Chair (please refer to the Programme).

The collaboration between the two universities has been developing throughout the last ten years: from the first informal exchanges of students and professors in 2008, to the MoUs signed with various Departments of the School of Engineering, until the official collaboration agreement at the end of 2017. In addition, the University of Padova invited the Yokohama National University to join the T.I.M.E. association (Top Industrial Managers for Europe), a double-degree programme involving the best European universities and some major universities worldwide.
