Contamination Lab Padova event: the final of the project that allows companies to launch entrepreneurial challenges to the best talents of the University of Padova
On 8 July 2026 from 2.30 pm to 6.30 pm, the final of the ninth edition of the University of Padua's multidisciplinary contamination project will be held at the Centro Altinate San Gaetano in Padova: the Contamination Lab.
The C_Labbers of the competing teams challenge each other with pitches, telling what they have designed to respond to the challenges launched by the companies: Almaviva Bluebit, Banca Annia, Chamber of Commerce of Padova, Carraro Group, ENI, Ensys, Veronesi Group, Intesa San Paolo, Maxfone, Miti
PwC Business Services Italia and Rete di Imprese Luce in Veneto.
It is an opportunity to observe young talents working in the field, to collect innovative and out-of-the-box ideas supported by feasibility and sustainability studies, to understand how to launch challenges useful for business competitiveness and employer branding in the next edition of the Contamination Lab.
Durante the event offers a networking coffee break.
Participation is free, upon enrolment.
EUIPO SME Fund 2026
Applications are reopening for the EUIPO SME Fund, the European Commission's initiative that supports small and medium-sized enterprises in the protection of intellectual property, with an estimated budget of around €23 million.
Also for 2026, SMEs – including spin-offs and startups – can obtain significant reimbursements on expenses for the protection of trademarks, designs, patents and EU plant varieties, both at national, European and international level.
The Fund provides four vouchers:
- up to 90% reimbursement for IP Scan and strategic consulting services;
- up to 75% for national and European trademarks, designs and patents;
- up to 50% for legal costs and international securities.
Companies that have already benefited from the Fund in previous years can apply again.
Deadline 4 December 2026.
Newsletters for companies
The newsletter of the Office for the Enhancement of Knowledge and Academic Entrepreneurship of the University of Padova for companies disseminates information on events, calls and competitions for innovation and technology transfer with the aim of creating a bridge between academia and the entrepreneurial fabric of the territory, encouraging the meeting between supply and demand for innovation. It is published monthly and within each issue there is a space dedicated to spin-offs and related products/services offered and to the patented technologies of the University of Padova.
