Patti Smith, punk rock’s poet laureate, performs in Padova, at the University Hall "Sala dei Giganti". The artist and longtime bandmate bassist Tony Shanahan present an evening of words and music.

In the 70s, Patti Smith became highly influential on the New York punk scene. In 1975, Patti’s first recording, Horses, was inducted into the National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress in 2010. 13 albums, 4 Grammy nominations, and a Golden Globe nominee for the song Mercy Is from the film Noah; these are just a few of this astonishing woman’s awards, nominations, honours and accolades.

Patti Smith continues to write, perform readings, work on artistic projects, and lends support for human rights issues.
