Growing attractiveness, sharply rising enrolments, and excellent employment prospects: the master’s programmes of the University of Padua are confirmed as a benchmark in post-graduate education, attracting female and male students from across Italy and abroad. According to Almalaurea data, 72.3% of those who choose a Unipd master’s programme come from another Italian or international university, while over the last five years enrolments in master’s programmes have increased by 71.6% and those in post-graduate programmes by 51.4%.

In this context, pre-enrolments are now open for the 150 master’s programmes and 31 post-graduate programmes of the University of Padua for the academic year 2026/2027: a broad, interdisciplinary offering increasingly geared towards the world of work, confirming the role of the University of Padua as a national and international point of reference for those wishing to update, specialise, or strengthen their skills.

The profile of Unipd master’s programmes is reflected in Almalaurea data, collected both at the end of the programmes and one year after the qualification is awarded. The picture that emerges is particularly positive: the courses attract female and male students from across Italy and abroad, record very high levels of satisfaction, and ensure significant employment prospects.

The attractiveness figure is among the most significant: 72.3% of those choosing a master’s programme at the University of Padua come from another Italian or international university. This confirms the reputation achieved by the University’s post-graduate programmes, which are able to identify advanced training needs and respond concretely to changes in the labour market.

Growth is also evident in enrolment numbers.
From 2021 to today, master’s programmes have recorded an increase of 71.6%, while post-graduate programmes have grown by 51.4%. As Marta Ghisi, delegate for Master and Post graduate programme, points out, this expansion is accompanied by a constant improvement in the quality of the programmes: «The data from the latest Almalaurea survey represent a valuable tool for us, because they help measure the effectiveness of our programmes through the experience of those who attended them. It is particularly meaningful to see such positive and improving results: a sign that the growth of our degree courses and the number of enrolments goes hand in hand with a constant improvement in the courses».

Satisfaction indicators are also very high.
96% of participants say they are satisfied with the preparation of the teaching staff; 91% believe that the topics were covered thoroughly and effectively; 91.9% consider the content useful for their professional future. In addition, 89.2% judge the knowledge and skills acquired to be appropriate for the reference professional profile, while 83% positively assess the practical and applied activities.

The results also remain solid in terms of employment. One year after obtaining the qualification, the employment rate reaches 94.9%. The average time needed to find a first job from the start of the job search is 2.4 months, while the average salary stands at 2,287 euros net per month. 80.4% of graduates recognise that the master’s programme played a role in obtaining their current job, and 85.4% consider it effective in relation to the professional activity carried out.

For Daniela Mapelli, rector of the University of Padua, these results confirm the University’s ability to combine quality education, employability, and international openness. «It is a result born of an offering built in close dialogue with the world of work and of the conviction that knowledge must accompany people throughout their professional and personal journey», the Rector underlines, highlighting how lifelong learning represents today a strategic lever for addressing major economic, technological, and social transformations.

A distinctive element of the Unipd offering is its strong connection with the local area and the production system. In fact, 110 master’s programmes and 11 post-graduate programmes are delivered in collaboration with companies or public bodies. These are programmes designed for those who wish to update, consolidate, or broaden their skills, making a targeted investment in their professional future.

Pre-enrolments for the 150 master’s programmes and 31 post-graduate programmes of the University of Padua for the academic year 2026/2027 remain open until 12:30 pm on Tuesday 6 October.
