The University of Padua launches the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Medicine and Surgery – MEDTECH, a new programme within the School of Medicine. The admission tests for the programme, held at Fiore di Botta, mark the entry of the first cohort of students.

The programme, delivered entirely in English and structured over six years, trains doctors with integrated expertise in the clinical, biomedical, informatics and statistical fields, with particular attention to the informed use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in medical practice and research.

The education is transdisciplinary and international in nature and includes a strong connection with biotechnological research, as well as placements and research opportunities. The programme also offers the opportunity to obtain a second degree, preparing students to work in multidisciplinary contexts.

The degree qualifies graduates to practise as a medical doctor and provides access to specialist schools, doctoral programmes and master's programmes also at international level, while keeping the care of the person at its core.

At the end of the programme, it is possible to work in public and private facilities, including in private practice, in Italy and abroad.
