Unipd Summer 2026

After the end of the summer exam session, teaching activities are suspended until 18 August, while between 19 August and 19 September the academic calendar 2025/26 provides for the Autumn session of exams.
Unipd also offers various Summer schools, to explore subjects in greater depth and meet students from different cultures.

On the days from 8 to 18 August 2026 inclusive, all the central administration offices of the University are closed, including the offices of the Teaching and student services area, the Call centre service (049 827 3131) and the URP. During the summer, the Booking Centre for the University’s cultural and museum sites always remains active, on 049 827 3939, available every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. As regards the closures of departments, libraries, multi-site campuses and other University facilities, please refer to their respective websites.

Palazzo del Bo is always open for guided tours (free for Unipd students and staff); from 10 to 19 August, it can be visited thanks to the tour Palazzo del Bo and Gio Ponti’s 20th century, both with a guided tour and through free access via QRCode.

The Botanical Garden remains open all summer, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (last admission at 6.15 p.m.), from Tuesday to Sunday and on all public holidays, and is also enriched by a series of summer events to fully “experience” the spaces and collections of the Garden, revealing the secrets of the plant world in a place unlike any other in the world. The bookshops UNIPD Store at the Botanical Garden and at the Museum of Nature and Humankind follow the opening hours and days of the two venues; the UNIPD Store shop in Palazzo del Bo, on the other hand, closes from 10 to 23 August.

Several Unipd Museums are open to the public, with initiatives and special visits, in many cases free of charge. Among them is the Museum of Nature and Humankind, which continues to welcome visitors during the summer months, telling the story of the evolving planet Earth, diversity and the relationships between the human species and the environment, through an engaging, multimedia and interactive exhibition; free admission for Unipd students and staff.

The Asiago astronomical centre offers a very full programme of activities for families until 13 September, while in Bressanone, the summer venue of the University of Padua, courses and initiatives are held from June to September.

The historic garden of Villa Parco Bolasco in Castelfranco Veneto is open to visitors throughout the summer on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays; free admission for Unipd students and staff.

There are several events scheduled in the University’s spaces and in the city. In addition, throughout the month of August people resident in the province of Padua and students of the University of Padua can access some of the most important municipal venues free of charge: Eremitani Museum, Palazzo Zuckermann, Palazzo della Ragione, Museo del Risorgimento e dell'Età contemporanea.

The new academic year will officially begin on Wednesday 1 October, with teaching activities starting on Monday 28 September 2026; however, facilities may bring forward the start of teaching to Monday 21 September (or postpone it, particularly for degree courses with nationally regulated admission).
