The MG21.26H of RaceUP Team Unipd claims overall victory in Croazia

After the successes of last season, the MG21.26H, the car of the Hybrid division of the RaceUP Team of the University of Padua, is once again in the spotlight at the Formula Student Alpe Adria, in Croazia, taking 1st place overall and confirming the competitiveness of the University of Padua project.

The competition tested the team’s work through several events, divided into static and dynamic. The former assessed the theoretical and design knowledge of the students, while the latter brought onto the track the outcome of the work carried out throughout the entire season.
The sum of the scores obtained in the various events determined the “Overall” ranking, declaring the outright winner of the event.

The MG21.26H achieved notable results in both categories.
In the static events, the RaceUP Team secured 1st place in the Engineering Design Event, 2nd place in the Cost & Manufacturing Event and 3rd place in the Business Plan Presentation.
In the dynamic events, the car secured 1st place in Endurance, Autocross and Skidpad, as well as 2nd place in Acceleration. It was precisely in Acceleration that the MG21.26H recorded a time of 3.890 seconds, the best result ever achieved by our Hybrid car in this
event. A milestone made possible also by the use, for the first year on the car, of the Hybrid system, which made it possible to make the most of the
single-seater’s acceleration performance.

The sum of the results brought the MG21.26H to 1st place “Overall”, handing the RaceUP Team overall victory in the Formula Student Alpe Adria. A result that rewards the work of the students involved in the project and confirms the growth of the Hybrid division, turning months of design, development and preparation into a winning performance.

The RaceUP Team’s journey continues in Italia with the Formula Student ATA, where both of the team’s single-seaters, MG21.26H and SGe-09, will take to the track to face a new challenge.
