Unipd advanced training courses: specialist training also suitable for workers

Gender-based discrimination and violence, veterinary medicine, digital transformation in biomedical research, environmental bioremediation, and myopia management: these are the topics of five advanced training courses at the University of Padua, for which enrolment is now open to those wishing to deepen their knowledge and acquire new skills in specific fields.
The advanced training courses are designed to offer specialist training in a flexible format that is also suitable for those who work or are already employed in professional fields.
The lifelong learning degree courses of the University of Padua currently include 126 Master courses (51 of which are first-level), 24 advanced courses, 24 advanced training courses and 10 professional development courses.
‘Updating and broadening one’s knowledge and skills is now a necessity in order to face a labour market and a society that are constantly evolving,’ comments Marta Ghisi, professor delegate for Master courses, advanced courses and lifelong learning at the University of Padua. ‘For this reason, the University of Padua invests in a broad and varied lifelong learning offering, capable of supporting professionals at every stage of their path, with proposals that combine scientific rigour, flexibility and a strong connection with the needs of society. Advanced training courses represent a significant part of this ecosystem. Their strength also lies in their multidisciplinary approach: the cross-fertilisation of different bodies of knowledge and skills is now one of the main drivers of innovation and makes it possible to address complexity with new tools. It is precisely from the meeting of different disciplines that the most effective responses to the great challenges of our time emerge.’
