EQUA, an advanced training course at Unipd to combat discrimination and gender-based violence

Part of the degree courses 2026/27 is the advanced training course "EQUA - Le discriminazioni e violenze di genere: prevenzione e rimedi", which offers a multidisciplinary programme dedicated to the prevention, combating and management of gender-based discrimination and violence in social, family, workplace and digital contexts. 

The course integrates legal, psychological, sociological and organisational expertise, with attention to fundamental rights, gender medicine, domestic violence, online discrimination and the role of third-sector organisations. 

Through theoretical and practical tools, the programme trains professionals capable of designing protection measures, support for victims and the promotion of gender equality.

The programme is therefore particularly suitable for those working in social and health services, for professionals in the legal, psychological and socio-educational fields, employees of the public administration, third-sector organisations, private companies, HR and Diversity & Inclusion offices, and for professionals engaged in training and applied research. 

The skills acquired enable participants to recognise discriminatory situations, use regulatory and organisational tools for prevention and protection, design network-based interventions and promote actions for awareness-raising, advocacy, fundraising and co-design in institutional and professional contexts.
