Bilateral agreements

Internationalisation has always been an important priority for the University of Padova. With nearly 250 bilateral agreements, the University has established long-standing relationships with Higher Education Institutions all over the world, not only in Europe but also in Africa, North and South America, Asia and the Middle East, aimed at encouraging international exchanges of teaching and administrative staff as well as students at all degree levels. These bilateral agreements reflect various forms of cooperation, which also include activities such as joint publications and exchange of information, to improve academic cooperation.

Joint and double degree programmes

The University of Padova encourages other initiatives aimed at joint or double degrees and guarantees ad hoc scholarships for students participating in these programmes. Such international degree programmes are organised in cooperation with one or more foreign partner institutions. A mobility period at the partner university is envisaged before or after the course attendance at the University of Padova.

Erasmus +

Erasmus+, the new EU programme for Education, Training, Youth and Sport, brings together seven previous EU programmes in the fields of Education, Training and Youth (e.g. Lifelong Learning Programme as well as Youth in Action, Erasmus Mundus, Tempus, etc.); for the first time it provides  support for Sport.

Visiting Professors

The University of Padova welcomes 40 international professors (ViP - Visting Professors).
Proposals must be presented only by departments of the University of Padova, that "invite" their guest international professors. ViP are called to teach and research in their host Department for 6 to 9 months.
