On 24 July Padua celebrates the fifth anniversary of the inscription of its 14th-Century Fresco Cycles on the UNESCO World Heritage List, which took place in 2021.

To mark the occasion, the World Heritage Office of the Municipality of Padova, in collaboration with the Musei Civici, is organising “LU5TRO – Five Years of World Heritage”, a day of initiatives dedicated to enhancing the city’s artistic and cultural heritage.

On Friday 24 July it is possible to visit free of charge some of Padua’s main UNESCO sites: the Oratorio di San Michele, Palazzo della Ragione and the Museo Eremitani.

In the afternoon, from 14:00 to 18:30, the Sala Ipogea of the Museo Eremitani will also host “LU5TRO – Sounds and Images for World Heritage”, a video installation which, through images, sounds and testimonies, tells the story of five years of activities, projects and initiatives dedicated to knowledge and the enhancement of the UNESCO site.

The initiative is an opportunity to celebrate an important milestone for Padua and to rediscover an artistic heritage recognised and appreciated throughout the world.

Admission to the video installation, accessible from Piazza Eremitani 8, is free of charge.
