The Therapy of the Muses. Reading Giotto

In September and October, the series of talks The Therapy of the Muses. Reading Giotto takes place in the Sala del Romanino of the Museo Eremitani in Padua, with the classical philologist and art historian Giuliano Pisani, who will accompany us on an original and fascinating journey to discover Giotto under the aegis of the Muses.
Giuliano Pisani, a classical philologist and art historian, accompanies us on a fascinating journey to discover the inexhaustible richness of Giotto’s world. Piece by piece, the complex mosaic unfolds, illustrating the symbolic story of the salvation of humanity. Passages and symbols wrongly considered obscure or generic instead reveal a clearly defined philosophical-theological framework, which presupposes a firm and well-identified authority. A divine therapy based on the beauty, joy and harmony of art and thought. From this marvellous treasure chest, Giotto shows us the path of goodness, justice and happiness, vividly and dramatically portraying the individual and social responsibility of our choices.
