
ICDL International Certification of Digital Literacy
The University of Padova hosts two official test centers where the ICDL – International Certification of Digital Literacy Core Level, a widespread certification that tests practical skills and competencies covering computer theory and practice, can be achieved. The test consists of seven stand-alone modules:
- Concepts of information and Communication technology (ICT)
- Using the computer and managing files
- Word processing
- Spreadsheets
- Using Databases
- Presentation
- Web Browsing and Communication
To achieve the certification, candidates must buy a skills card (a document where the modules successfully passed are recorded), and pay a fee when applying for each module. Students and Staff at the University of Padova are granted special discounts.
