International Relations

The International Relations Division supports, drives and implements the international strategy of the University of Padua, contributing to enhancing its global profile and developing an international dimension in all university services and activities.

The Division is organised in two Offices and several Units, serving complementary goals and objectives.

Global Engagement Office

  Recruitment Unit

Main activities:

  • Planning and managing international marketing activities to promote the University's brand and educational offer
  • Developing a network of representatives all over the world to promote the University locally
  • Planning and participating in professional (e.g. NAFSA, EAIE) and student fairs
  • Planning and designing online (web portals, social networks etc.) and offline (video, slides, brochures, etc.) marketing activities
  • Networking with embassies, consulates and Italian schools abroad
  • Performing market analysis and conducting research on the main trends in global higher education

  Admissions and Welcome Unit

Main activities:

  • Degree-seekers: providing information on the University’s educational offer and services; providing assistance on pre-enrolment and enrolment procedures, assessing entry requirements and qualifications, managing scholarships and fee-waivers, granting recognition of foreign qualifications (formerly known as equipollenzainternational.admission@unipd.it
  • Housing service - housing@unipd.it
  • Providing assistance on immigration-related procedures (concerning visa, residence permit, health insurance etc.) in collaboration with SAOS; liaising with the Italian national police and the Municipality of Padua

  International Desk

The International Desk is a dedicated department-based support desk for international students.

It provides support and guidance regarding:

  • Orientating and advising for English-taught degree programmes
  • Helping to assess international students’ applications for relevant degree programmes
  • Welcoming international students seeking a degree in relevant degree programmes
  • Supporting international students throughout their academic career for relevant degree programmes

Projects and Mobility Office

Main activities:

  • Managing outgoing student mobility (Erasmus+, SEMP) - erasmus@unipd.it

  International Projects Unit

Main activities

  • Advising and technically supporting application procedures to participate in higher education, training and European and international cooperation projects
  • Managing and overseeing Erasmus+ projects
  • Supporting training and information activities on topics concerning the internationalisation of education and European projects
  • Managing teacher and staff mobility within the Erasmus+ programme
  • Supporting activities related to the internationalisation of education through Seed Funding programmes, supporting Virtual Exchange and Blended Intensive Programmes

  Strategic Partnerships Unit

Main activities

  • Outlining regional strategies to strengthen the University's presence in different geographical areas
  • Managing strategic partnerships and related funding schemes
  • Developing, negotiating and signing bilateral agreements with foreign higher education institutions
  • Assisting departments in developing, negotiating and signing double/joint degree agreements
  • Welcoming delegations and visiting staff
  • Coordinating the Arqus European Alliance at the University of Padua by planning, managing and monitoring the Alliance activities and budgets
