Development Cooperation

The University of Padua promotes several development cooperation activities and initiatives, such as:

  • incoming and outgoing student mobility from/to Low/Middle Income Countries (L/MIC) under bilateral agreements, double degree agreements, cooperation programmes supported by external bodies, etc.;
  • incoming and outgoing teaching staff mobility, from/to L/MIC, with specific funding (calls for applications Mobilità Docenti su Accordi Bilaterali and Visiting Scientist);
     
  • welcoming of degree-seekers from L/MIC, through dedicated support and services, such as merit-based or income-based scholarships;
     
  • Summer and Winter Schools in collaboration with partner universities;
     
  • seed funding for teaching and technical-administrative staff (University project ‘Iniziative di Cooperazione Universitaria‘);
     
  • cooperation projects funded by the European Commission, such as Erasmus + KA107 International Credit Mobility, Erasmus+ KA2 Capacity Building, Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees, etc.
     
  • strategic partnerships with some universities in L/MIC (e.g. Cameroon, Ethiopia, Mozambique, South Africa, Argentina).
     
  • international networks for development cooperation (e.g. CUCS, UNIMED, Coimbra Group, UniAdrion, Scholars at Risk).
