This course is for those who are interested in understanding how the evolutionary processes are expressed according to the age of the child and how to assess atypical developmental growth. This course offers a solid basic understanding of psychology, neurology, pedagogic, paediatrics, and infant motor skills. You will learn what the connections are between emotional, cognitive, and motor functions in neurological and psychological disorders during childhood. The practical approach of the course allows you to learn how to carry out preventive and age-appropriate interventions in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The course offers the opportunity to enter the workforce by carrying out activity both in private and public structures, also collaborating with school operators for the implementation of personalized educational plans.

Characteristics and objectives
The student learns to perform prevention, therapy and rehabilitation of neuropsychiatric diseases in children in collaboration with the multi-professional team of the pediatric area and to adapt the therapies of perception, motor, cognitive and interaction disorders according to the age of the individual, according to diagnosis and medical prescriptions. The student acquires the ability to evaluate the relationships between affective, cognitive and motor functions of neurological, neuropsychological and psychopathological disorders of the developmental age. The student collaborates with school operators for the implementation of an individualized educational plan, using appropriate age-specific techniques and for individual developmental stages.

Occupational opportunities
The graduate will be able to work in public or private health facilities, as an employee or freelancer, and also carry out activities of study, teaching, research and training of support staff.
