 APPLICATION PLATFORM

This course is aimed at those who want to operate in the field of social and human services, offering sociological, legal, economic, pedagogical and psychological preparations. Students will acquire the professional, communicative, and personal relation skills useful for reading, understanding, and arbitrating in situations of individual, family, and communities with social hardships. After passing the State Exam, opportunities are available as a social workers in the AULSS or in the municipalities, as well as in the private sector or as an independent social worker.

Characteristics and objectives
Through a multidisciplinary training (in sociology, law, pedagogy, psychology, ethics and other disciplines), the course enables students to acquire the communication, relational and professional skills needed to understand social contexts and problems and to intervene in situations of social distress and marginalisation, supporting individuals, families, groups and communities and promoting the well-being of individuals and communities.


Occupational opportunities

The degree course (after passing the State Exam for registration in Section B of the Professional Register of the Order of Social Workers) enables the holder to practise the profession of social worker in public services (local authorities, health care institutions, prisons and external penal enforcement, addiction services and others), private and third sector services, as well as in the private practice.

From the bachelor to the master degree

The degree gives access to the master's degree in Innovation and Social Services at our University, to all LM-87 master's degree courses at all Italian universities, but also to other degree courses throughout Europe, according to the procedures indicated in the specific admission notices.
