OVERVIEW
The programme trains specialists capable of working in both the public and private sectors, in global, multicultural, and interdisciplinary contexts, to carry out professional consulting and coordination roles related to the assessment, design, and management of environmental systems with a view to ecological and sustainable transition. The main contexts of expertise acquired are the following: Analysis, control, and management of environmental resources and land;- Assessment of environmental quality; Enhancement and restoration of the quality of environmental resources affected by human impacts; Implementation and evaluation of environmental impact studies for strategic and environmental risk assessments; Environmental impact of production processes; Development and certification of environmental management systems.
Admission to the master’s degree program will be open to bachelor’s degree holders (or higher) or
other equivalent qualification deemed suitable under the current legislation. For national enrolments (Italy), graduates with a degree of class 27 (Ministerial Decree 509) or class L-32 (Ministerial Decree 270) are eligible for admission to the master’s degree programme without the need for additional courses.
Applicants need to possess the following specific curricular requirements: basic knowledge in the fields of mathematics, physics, general, inorganic, and organic chemistry, biology, environmental sciences, fundamentals of ecology, including that of agricultural and human systems, logical and cognitive tools to understand the meaning and implications of ecological and environmental processes and their interactions; basic computer skills.
For admission purposes, eligible candidates will be assessed according to the following criteria: a) Minimum degree grade; b) English language proficiency at level B2 (CEFR)
corresponding to the following minimum thresholds: TOEFL (IBT): 80; IELTS: 6.0; Cambridge ESOL: 173; Trinity College London: ISE II; Oxford OTE: 126; Gatehouse: GA 1 level; Pearson: PTE General 3 or PTE Academic 65.
