A multidisciplinary course that views tourism, as more than a mere economic factor, but rather as a cultural experience. The course trains professionals to design experiences that define and enhance the territory while connecting to its artistic experiences (i.e. how cinema narrates landscapes), as well as by coordinating the image of a tourist destination. Students will study geographic, economic, statistical, and legal disciplines, as well as sociological, psychological, linguistic, artistic, historical, and museum disciplines. The training is accompanied by activities such as workshops, tutorials, seminars, and visits to sites, parks, and museums. Students will learn how to design and organize, teach, and promote socio-cultural activities, offering advice on tourist websites, work on archaeological sites, in museums, or as a network destination manager.

Characteristics and objectives
In addition to the educational basics in the sectors of the economy, business, statistics, and law, the degree course combines practical preparation in the fields of psychology, sociology, geography, and linguistics, with particular attention to territory and its cultural connotations.
The degree coursework is organized into foundational subjects regarding geographic, statistic, and legal features of tourism and core subjects involving fundamental knowledge in specific fields of economy, marketing, sociology, and psychology applied to tourism. It will also include the essential features of historical, historical-artistic, and museological fields. Significant space is given to hands-on activities that foster personal experience, aimed at developing a student's formative background through laboratory activities, practical experience, and in-depth seminar work. This background will be developed through on-site visits in Italy and abroad to parks, cities of art, museums, and trips aimed at the exploration of specific topics. In addition, students will participate in internships with institutions and organizations in the field, companies, public administration, and engage in study periods with other Italian and international universities.

Occupational opportunities
Upon completion of the degree course, graduates will possess a diversified professional profile: cultural tourism operators, tasked with designing and organizing socio-cultural activities, consultancy, teaching, promotion, and activities of entertainment. Graduates perform work with state and local authorities (ministries, regions, provinces,
municipalities); in press offices; archeological, nature and environmental sites; in cities of art and museums; parks and schools; in private institutions and organisations; the tourism industry (agencies, accommodation facilities, etc.), in publishing and the service industry in general (banks, trade fairs, insurance institutes, marketing, etc.).
In addition, graduates also deal with the coordination of the network of tourism offerings (Network Destination Manager) and engage in tourism promotion and consultation online.
