This course is aimed at those who want to operate in the field of social and human services, offering sociological, legal, economic, pedagogical and psychological preparations. Students will acquire the professional, communicative, and personal relation skills useful for reading, understanding, and arbitrating in situations of individual, family, and communities with social hardships. After passing the State Exam, opportunities are available as a social workers in the AULSS or in the municipalities, as well as in the private sector or as an independent social worker.

Characteristics and objectives
The Course, through a multidisciplinary training (by studying sociology, law, pedagogy, psychology, ethics and other disciplines) allows students to develop communicative, relational and professional skills that are necessary to understand and intervene in situations of social disease and marginalization as well as to promote the well-being of people and communities.

Occupational opportunities
The degree course, after the achievement of the related State Exam, allows one to carry out the profession of Social Worker within public (Municipalities, Healthcare Companies, Healthcare Residences and others), private and third sector services, as well as self-employed professionals.

From the bachelor to the master degree
The bachelor degree in social work allows the access to the master degree in Innovation and social service at our University, to all master degree courses of the LM-87 class in any Italian universities, but also to other master degree classes throughout Europe according to the specific notices of admission.
