FOOD INDUSTRY ENGINEERING

This programme, delivered in English and in blended mode, offers an educational pathway that prepares students to conceive, plan, design and manage processes, plants, systems and services typical of the food industry, with particular attention to safety issues.
Strongly transdisciplinary in nature, it features a significant component of Industrial Engineering as well as other scientific areas such as Food Technologies, Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Safety, Information Engineering and Statistics.
The preparation of graduates provides access to various employment sectors, both private and public, in Italy and abroad, which may involve positions of responsibility mainly focused on the design and management of food production processes and plants, and on the engineering aspects related to quality and safety control and data management.

International double degree pathways

Students enrolled in this second-cycle degree programme are offered the opportunity to apply for a double degree T.I.M.E. – Top International Managers in Engineering, with several universities and polytechnic institutions of renowned international standing, in Europe and Asia. At the end of the double degree pathway, students will obtain the Unipd second-cycle degree and a Master’s Degree awarded by the host institution.
