Proposals for Bachelor and Master's theses (bibliographic and experimental), in the field of cognitive and affective neuroscience, in particular concerning the following topics:

1. Visual awareness (theories, investigation methodologies, relationship between awareness and visual working memory, relationship between awareness and attention)
2. Conscious and unconscious processing of faces and facial expressions of emotions
3. Comparison between objective and subjective measures of awareness (an approach based on the theory of signal detection vs. the perceptual awareness scale)
4. Models of sensorimotor simulation and recognition of facial expressions of emotions
5. Motor deficits and recognition of emotional facial expressions (Moebius Syndrome, Bell's palsy...)
6. Processing of static and dynamic facial expressions (and brain networks)
7. The Geneva Emotion Wheel as a tool for measuring emotional responsiveness to objects, events, and situations.
