Turchi Gian Piero, Associate Professor (2004) for the grouping M-PSI/08. Lecturer in "Psychology of Cultural Differences and Clinical Deviance", "Psychopathology and Clinical Psychology" and "Clinical Psychology" at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Padua. Graduated in Psychology from the University of Padua with full marks and honours. Graduated from the three-year postgraduate course for the training of experts in the area of deviant behaviour. Specialisation in "Multivariate analysis methods" for applications in clinical psychology, at the Faculty of Statistics and Demographic and Actuarial Sciences, in October 1993. Member of the "Interuniversity Centre for Research on the Genesis and Development of Prosocial and Antisocial Motivations" - Padua section. Project Technical Assistants for the European Commission Marie Curie project. Participation in multicentre and coordinated scientific research programmes (CNR, MURST, ISS). Scientific Responsible for research activities in agreement with the Ministry of Justice, from 2003 to date (research and training collaborations with the Department of Penitentiary Administration). Director of the Master in "Mediation as an operational tool in criminal, family and civic contexts" at the Faculty of Psychology of Padua. Director of the post-graduate course "Methodology of research in the discursive field" at the Faculty of Psychology of Padua. Expert in text analysis. Scientific director of the research project "Foreigners and drugs" in agreement with the Ministry of Justice, from 2004 to 2006, which involved 24 Italian Penitentiaries with the aim of investigating the situation of Italian and foreign prisoners who were users of legal and illegal substances. He is responsible for several projects addressed to the community, including: the project "I Ragazzi della Panchina" (2015-active) with the involvement of the SerT of Pordenone; the project "Kairòs" (2011-2013) for the promotion of health in the territory of the Province of Padua; the service "InOltre" (2012-active), funded by the Veneto Region and addressed to crisis situations involving entrepreneurs and small savers in Veneto; the project "Welfare generativo" in collaboration with the municipality of Melzo (2021-2023); SALVO project "Health and Work in Oncology Surgery" (2018); the Project "Hyperion: Observatory of Social Cohesion in Emergency Settings," created in conjunction with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic (active since 2019); the project "Habitability. Experimenting with how comfort, productivity and usability are configured in interactions with environmental parameters in smart buildings" (2021-2023). It carries out consultancy and training activities aimed at the Olgiatese Social Services Consortium for the promotion of skills for the management of services with a view to the social cohesion of the community.

The examination consists of a written and an oral test. Passing the first gives access to a single attempt at the oral test. In the event of failing the latter or failing the grade, the test must be retaken from the written.
In the event that, once you have passed the written paper, you do not take the oral test, you may keep the grade from the written paper for one year from the current session.

Research Area

The main areas of research include:

- Design, development and implementation of a tool for the automated analysis of textual data according to the cognitive references of Dialogic Science;

- Application of the theoretical-methodological framework of Dialogic Science in the field of Natural Language Processing and Artificial Intelligence: textual Big Data analysis, predictive analytics, recommender system, digital twins, etc.;

- Design and evaluation of the effectiveness and social impact of community interventions for the promotion of Social Cohesion;

- Design and evaluation of interventions through the operational tool of Dialogic Mediation within the family, criminal, community, civil and commercial spheres;

- In-depth knowledge of constructs inherent to the legal sphere such as reliability, recidivism of convicted offenders, capacity to make decisions, assessment of biological damage, living will;

- Construction of tools for evaluation in the clinical field (evaluation of illegal drug users, evaluation of the user in a surgical ward, evaluation of the prejudice of health professionals towards users;

- Dialogic Science and Quantum Computing (particularly QuantumNLP).
