Prof. Luigi Sartori was born in Montagnana (PD) on 10 December 1957, graduated in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Padua, he is Agronomist and Forestry Doctor.
He is an effective member of the A.I.I.A. (Italian Association of Agricultural Engineering), of the ECAF (European Conservation Agriculture Federation) and is a founding member of the A.I.G.A.CO.S. (Italian Association for Agronomic and Conservative Management of the Soil).
- Researcher at the Department TESAF (Department of Land, Environment, Agriculture and Forestry) of the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Padua since 1990
- Confirmed Researcher from 1993 to 2000
- Associate Professor since November 2000 and confirmed in 2003.
- Full Professor since March 2018
- Director of CIRAP (Interuniversity Center for Precision Agriculture) from 2005 to 2013
- President of the School of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine of the University of Padua since 2018.

The scientific activity is documented by national and international publications that mainly concern Agricultural Mechanization and in particular:
- tillage and sowing in traditional, conservative and organic agriculture;
- management of livestock waste;
- precision agriculture and digital technologies.
He is the author of over 250 national and international publications including 81 Scopus indexed publications with 1,282 citations and an H index of 22.
Prof. Luigi Sartori has been the scientific responsible of various national and international multidisciplinary research projects.
Member of the scientific committee of the magazine "L'Informatore Agrario" from 2010 to today.
Reviewer for the following journals: Soil & Tillage Research, Biosystems Engineering, Computer and Electronics in Agriculture, Agricultural Systems, Journal of Plant Interactions, Transactions of the ASABE, Journal of Agricultural Engineering, Agriculture, Land.
In 2013 member of the Working Group on the Innovation Needs of the Cereal sector organized by INEA for MIPAAF.
Since 2015 member of the Working Group for the development of Precision Agriculture at MIPAAF.
