Research Area
Genetic and chromosome instability in mammalian somatic and germ cells.
Thesis proposals
During the academic years 2021/21 e 2021/22 positions are available to complete the Master thesis work in Molecular Biology or Medical Biotechnologies focusing on the following topic:
DNA damage repair (DDR) and oxydative stress in Friedreich's Ataxia, a rare autosomal recessive disease.
Methodologies:
Cell cultures, chromosome preparations, FISH, RNA-FISH, immunofluorescence. Fluorescence and confocal microscopy, imaging; Western blot, Real-time PCR, ChIP.
