Graduated in Modern History, she holds a PhD in Contemporary History (University of Bologna) and a PhD in Urban Planning and Public Policies (IUAV, Venice); she studied for several years at the University of Berkeley, California (Master Degree in Women's Studies). In 2013-2016 she was appointed research fellow at the Department of Information Engineering at the University of Padua in the 7Fp EU GenderTime Project. Currently, she teaches Gender Politics and Welfare State in the European Union at the University of Padua in the Master Degree in European Studies (SEU), at the Department of Political Sciences (SPGI). She is a member of the Equal Opportunities Commission of the University. Her research field is placed in a context of investigation at the intersection of two different issues: from one side the political, civil and social citizenship of women (T. H. Marchall) and from the other side the effectiveness of public policies from a gender perspective, with a particular attention to their production of discriminations, inequalities, and violent contexts in the contemporary urban space (D.Hayden).
