He graduated in "Management Internazionale", curriculum "Imprese e Mercati Internazionali", at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in 2007. In 2013, he obtained his PhD in "Economia e Statistica Agroalimentare" (Agrifood Economics and Statistics), at Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna.
Later, he was a post-doc research fellow at the Department of Economic and Social Sciences of the Università Politecnica delle Marche and then at the Department of Economics Marco Biagi of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. Then, from February 2019 to June 2021, he was a Junior Assistant Professor (Ricercatore a Tempo Determinato di tipo A) for the scientific field AGR/01, at the Department of Territorio e Sistemi Agro-Forestali (TESAF) of the University of Padua.
Since July 2021, he has been Assistant Professor (Ricercatore a Tempo Determinato di tipo B), for the scientific field AGR/01, at the Department of Territorio e Sistemi Agro-Forestali (TESAF) of the University of Padua.

His main research interests include: local development and rural development, together with the analysis of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and Rural Development; the relationship between agriculture and environmental issues; the role of geographical indications in local development; the vulnerability of the agri-food sector to adverse natural events (e.g., climate change, earthquakes, flood events); and the implementation of quantitative analysis techniques (econometrics and spatial econometrics).
