Graduated in 2006 in Crop Sciences at University of Padua. In 2010 he obtained the Ph.D. degree in Environmental Agronomy and Crop Sciences at University of Padua (Italy). Between 2010 and 2016 he was involved in several research projects related to the effect of agronomic practices on nutritional and health traits of vegetables species and plant food products. Since 2016 he is a researcher at the Department of Agronomy, Food, Natural resources, Animals and Environment (DAFNAE) of the University of Padua. The research activities are focused on the study and improvement of vegetables quality in relation to the agronomic aspects and the cultivation methods. The research themes, studied both in open field conditions and greenhouse, can be summarized as follows: qualitative characterization of different vegetables; flower induction and physiological aspects of the radicchio; qualitative evaluation of small fruits in post-harvest and the effect of the packaging; production of aromatic plants and content of essential oils; antioxidant compounds in horticultural products and functional foods; application of ozone and sustainable water management in the production of vegetables; management of production systems for aquaponics and cultivation of vegetables species. Co-author of over 80 scientific publications in national and international journals and book chapters, he is a member of the Italian Society of Horticulture (SOI) and of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS).
