Medical degree cum laude on 1998 in Padova. Specialisation cum laude in Radiology (Padova, 2002). Ph.D. in Neuroscience in 2006. From 2005 to 2010 assistant Professor in Human Anatomy. From 2010 Associate professor of Human Anatomy. From 2021 Full Professor of Human Anatomy.

Principal investigator of competitive research projects supported by Italian University and by private institutions from 2005. Author of more than 280 in extenso papers. H-index 41. Speaker at national and international meetings, also as invited speaker. Scientific activity devoted radiological anatomy and clinical anatomy; in particular anatomy of vessels and segmentation of the human liver and kidney; clinical anatomy of skeletal and muscular systems with particular reference to the anatomical basis of surgical techniques, clinical anatomy of the subcutaneous and adipose tissue. The scientific research is developed in collaboration with other departments of the University of Padova and National and International Universities and Centres.

Associate editor of Surgical and Radiologic Anatomy, European Journal of Anatomy and Journal of the Anatomical Society of India, member of the Editorial Board of Anatomical Science Education.

Teaching activity in the courses of Medicine and Surgery, Physical Therapy, Sports Science, Radiological Techniques, in Schools of Specialisation, Masters and CME courses. President of the degree course of Physiotherapy. Direcyor of the course of specialisaton in Clinical Anatomy of the Musculo-Skeletal System.

Visiting scientist in the Neuroradiology section at the McGill University of Montreal, Canada (2000) and in the laboratory of Clinical Anatomy at the University of Madrid, Spain (2002). Lecturer at Wake Forest University (2014).

Treasurer of European Association of Clinical Anatomists, Member of Italian Association of Anatomy and Histology, British Association of Clinical Anatomy, and American Association of Anatomists.

Awards for scientific activity: 2012 - Award for best under 40 years researcher of the Italian Society of Anatomy and Histology; 2008 - Bjorn Fortling Award, Update on Imaging and Management of Pelvic Floor Disorders for the best contribution, 1998 - Award "Visible Human Dataset, Milan Mirror Site” for the best thesis.
