Maurizio Faccio is actually Associate Professor of Industrial Systems and Logistics at the School of Engineering of University of Padua. He is habilitated as full professor.
He graduated in Engineering Management at University of Padua with evaluation 110/110 cum laude and obtained PH.D in Industrial Systems at University of Padua with a thesis titled "Assembly in the modern industrial production".
He teaches and conducts research in Industrial Plants Design and Management, Advanced Manufacturing Technologies development, Assembly System Design, Inside Plants Logistics, Industrial Logistics, Warehouses design and management, Operation Management and Distribution Network Design and Optimization.
He has published about 130 articles in international journals and conference proceeding. He is member of different Editorial Boards of International Journals e obtained different awards for his research results. He managed special issues of top international journals with specific topics about logistics and industrial plants.
He has been carrying out his research activities in national and international research programs, and in many research collaborations with different companies.

Research Area

The research activities of Maurizio Faccio are focused on industrial systems and on logistics. In particular: design and management of industrial plants, assembly and production systems design and optimization, inside plant logistics design and optimisation, warehousing, materials management, supply chain design and management, sustainability in production systems and distribution network design and management design, automation design in assembly, industrial production and logistics.
