She has a PHD in Ethics and teaches Bioethics, Veterinary Ethics, Wildlife and Conservation Ethics and Animal Welfare Ethics.
She is an Expert for section IV of the Italian Higher Health Council, Director of the Master Course in 'Wildlife Conservation' and Director of the Ethics Laboratory For Veterinary Medicine, Conservation and Animal Welfare of Padua University.

Since 2009 she is responsible for the International Cooperation Agreement between Padua Veterinary Medicine University School and Colorado State University - USA. From 2014 she is responsible for the International Cooperation Agreement between Padua Veterinary Medicine University School and the National Zoological Gardens of South Africa and for the International Cooperation Agreement between Padua Veterinary Medicine University School and the Leibniz Institute - Germany. From 2013 she is responsible for the International Project “Scientific Welfare Assessment for Captive Elephants (Loxodonta Africana) and Conservation Education Ethics in South Africa”. Since 2018 she is coordinator of the Padua University's Unit of the National Project "A toolkit for the assessment of animal welfare in zoos", funded by the National Ministry of Health. Since 2019 she is partner of the international Project "BioRescue", on the conservation of the Northern White Rhyno. She is member of Research Ethics Committees of several Institutions and responsible for Consultancy services for Zoos and Acquaria.

Among her publications, there are essays, translations, receiverships and articles on Bioethics, Animal Welfare Ethics, Wildlife and Conservation Ethics and critical reasoning in Ethics. She is Director of the Internation scientific peer review Journal of Applied Animal Ethics Research, edited by Brill, and responsible of the Series 'Ethics and Biosciences ' for Mimesis publisher. She is member of scientific committees of Journals and of scientific and cultural Institutions.
