Current position: associate professor of Linguistics at the Department of Linguistic and Literary Studies (DiSLL, University of Padua).
Member of the Scientific board of the Doctoral Course in Linguistic, Philological and Literary Sciences (University of Padua).

Main research interests
Indo-European linguistics: my prevalent research deals with comparative morphology in the ancient Indo-European languages, with a special attention for the verbal system.
Other interests: historical linguistic and language change; theoretical linguistics (morphology and syntax); dialectology; history of linguistics.
I'am currently involved in the granted project "GraVo" (A Grammar of the Ancient Venetan Varieties)

Research Area

Main interests:
Indo-European linguistics: morphological categories of the verb, in particular nasal presents, mood formations; morphosyntactic structures: prefixed verbs; syntax of perception verbs. Languages: Latin, Italic languages, Ancient Greek.
Dialectology: inflectional morphology of Italo-Romance dialects; periphrastic constructions.
Historical linguistics: inflectional morphologies and verb categories of Ancient Venetan varieties.

Thesis proposals

MA dissertations
I supervise dissertations on topics related with morphology and morphosyntax, mostly in diachronic perspective. As to the linguistic domains, I preferably deal with classical languages, Italian, Italo-romance dialects, Old Venetan dialects. I am specifically interested in proposals concerning language change, comparative linguistics and Indo-European linguistics.
As a co-advisor, I also collaborate on dissertations regarding lexical studies, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics and neurolinguistics.

BA theses
I supervise theses on Italian, Italian dialects, classical languages, Germanic and Romance languages. My usual topics are: morphology, morpho-syntax, language change, lexicon, aociolinguistics.
