Doctor Stefania Balzan graduated summa cum laude in Veterinary Medicine on the 11th of November 1999 and she achieved the qualification to the profession of veterinary. On the 25th of October 2002 she specialized in “Breeding, Hygiene, Aquatic Species Pathology and Derived Product Control”.
In 2010 she obtained the title of the specialization course in "Biomedical communication" at the University of Milan. On March 2013 she obtained a master's degree in "Journalism and institutional communication of science" at the University of Ferrara.
Since January 2000, Dr. Balzan takes part in the research activity of the Institute of Food Hygiene
(SSD VET/04 Ispection of animal origin food) of the Public Health, Comparative Pathology, and Veterinary Hygiene of the University of Padua, carrying out laboratory activity first in the molecular biology sector, then in the food chemical and biochemical sector.
On January the 7th she is on duty as researcher at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (at the Institute of Food Hygiene).
She collaborates with the Health and Hygienic Food Security Centre (Thiene VI), which is a joint-Actually she is involved in teaching and scientific projects regarding safety and quality of food product (fresh and transformed animal products).
