Born in Castelfranco Veneto, Italy, in 1960. Graduated with full marks in Electrical Engineering from the University of Padova, Italy, in 1985. Up to 1991, he had been working in the field of the plant engineering, industrial automation and electromechanics. Since 1991 up to 1998 he was Researcher with the Department of Electrical Engineering of the same University. Since 1998 up to 2005 he was Associate Professor at the Politecnico of Milano. Since 2005 he has been at the Department of Industrial Engineering (former Dept. of Electrical Engineering) of the University of Padova. His fields of interest are the development of computational methods for the electromagnetic analysis, the design and modelling of electrical machines and of drives for the electric propulsion and the generation from renewable sources. He reviewed several papers submitted to Journals or Conferences of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society and of the IEEE Magnetics Society.
