From May 2014 until February 2020, he was enrolled as assistant professor at the University of Padova, Italy. Since March 2020, he is Associate Professor at the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Padova, Italy. He is author of 135 international journal papers, book chapters, and international conference papers. Since 2010, his works concerning multimedia forensic analysis and 3D model acquisition and compression have won 3 best paper awards on international conferences, 1 international award for best journal paper, and 1 national award for best research. He is also a IEEE member of Information Theory and Signal Processing Societies; withinh the latter, he is member of the Regional Committee for Region 8 (Europe, Middle-East, Africa). He has also been a reviewer for many international conferences and journals. He has also served as international scientific expert for the Agence Nationale de la Recherce (ANR) – France for the evaluation of project proposals. His main research topics concern artificial intelligence strategies for digital signal processing, source coding, visual rendering and multimedia data analysis (image, videos, 3D models). His interests concerns the reverse engineering of multimedia data and multimedia forensic analysis for anomaly detections and biometric identification.
