Experience in clinical management of kidney and pancreas allograft recipients, in clinical and basic immunology, AB0 incompatible living donor kidney transplantation and living donor transplantation in immunized patients.
Surgical activity: 130 kidney transplantation procedures both from deceased and living donors and 15 pancreas- kidney combined transplants, involved as 2nd operator. 10 kidney transplantation procedures as 1st operator. 48 laparoscopic living donor nephrectomies as 2nd operator. Organ procurements as 1st and 2nd operator (40 procedures of kidney procurements as 1st operator) under supervision. 30 Kidney Back-table surgeries as 1st operator.
Research activity: clinical research on retrospective and prospective data, related to robot-assisted kidney transplantation, robot-assisted donor nephrectomy, robot-assisted pancreas transplantation, pancreas transplantation from pediatric donors, obesity and transplantation, small bowel transplantation and kidney paired donation. Hands-on research on new cutting-edge techniques used in transplantation, with special focus on minimally-invasive robot-assisted procedures.
During her fellowship, she was involved in many research projects related to kidney and pancreas transplantation, donor nephrectomy, islet transplantation and small bowel transplantation. She was observer in robotic transplant surgery and she trained in laparoscopic - robotic lab with DaVinci Skills simulator and participation to dry-lab sessions.
