Antonio-Daniele Capobianco (ADC) was born in Padova in 1965. In 1989 he received its M.S. degree (Italian Laurea) "Cum Laude" in Electronic Engineering from the University of Padova. In 1994 he received the Ph.D. degree in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering. Through years 1995-1997 he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Padova. From 1995 to 1998 he was a visiting Professor at Udine University. From 1998 to 2017 he was a Research Fellow at the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Padova. From 2017 he is Associate Professor. The threads of the research activity of ADC are the study/numerical analysis of electromagnetic fields propagation both in linear and nonlinear regime in integrated optical devices, and the design and modeling of planar antennas at microwave frequencies for Ultra-wideband and WLAN applications. ADC has been involved in several research projects either as a co-investigator or as a proponent, among them:
- PRIN PNNR Project 2023-2025: "FLAIRS eFficient pLasmA Intelligent Reflecting Surface"
- ASI project 2018-2020: "EPT.COM Enabling Plasma Technology towards satellite COMmunications"
- Progetto di Ateneo 2016-2018: "Development of Conformal Totally Autonomous Self Adapting Phased Array Antennas” - Progetto di Ateneo 2009-2011: "Study and performance analysis of low profile antenna arrays for MIMO WLANs applications”
- PRIN 2006-2007: "Analytical and numerical study of the temporal and frequential dynamics in second harmonic generation processes of femtosecond pulses in periodic nonlinear materials"
- FIRB 2003-2006: "Modeling and numerical methods of photonic devices for high capacity optical network".
Antonio-Daniele Capobianco has co-authored more than 90 papers in peer review journals and more than 80 contributions in proceedings of national and international conferences. Moreover he is co-author of 1 book chapter regarding Ultra-Wideband antennas (total publications 189, h-index 25, total citations 2134, number of international publications during the last 5 years 35; source: Scopus, Apr. 2024).
