Teaching: Responsible of courses of “basic physics”, “experimental physics” and “laboratory of physics” for various courses at the degree level. In addition courses of “subnuclear physics” and “radiation detectors” for master students in physics and "elementary particles physics" for master students in astronomy.

Research activities: several years since 1980 were dedicated to various experimental activities in the field of subnuclear physics at particle accelerators, in particular at electron-positron collider (Orsay-FR), proton-antiproton collider at CERN (Geneva-CH) and Fermilab (Chicago-IL) and at proton-proton LHC collider at CERN.
Since first 2000 years he moved to the field of high energy astrophysics gamma detection participating to the Fermi-GLAST NASA mission, in orbit since 2008, and to the development of future high energy gamma telescopes on earth, based on IACT atmospheric shower detection, in particular CTA.

Publications: co-author of more than 700 publications in refereed international ISI journals, h-index (WOK-ISI) 79 and 25.000 citations.
