Call for inclusion project ideas

The Call for inclusion project ideas submitted by Italian public schools under the title "Inclusion is what we want!”was developed for the promotion of defining what it means to be included. We are grateful to all the schools who have accepted the invitation to compete under the International Conference, "Decent work, Equity and Inclusion. Passwords for the present and the future.”

Thanks to the incentive put forth in recent months, schools that have organized project ideas for inclusion are numerous, although many prefer not to "compete", most like due to a sort of "psycho-pedagogical modesty" that is understandable and well appreciated.

The number of public schools who sent project ideas to the University Centre of Disability and Inclusion were 186, and while we would have liked to reward all of them all, the number of openings our "announcement" provided were limited. As such, the jury unanimously decided to award the three awards based on "equal merit", as follows:

  • Liceo Artistico “Galvani” Cordenons (PN), located in Friuli-Venezia Giulia for the presentation of postcards, gadgets and t-shirts representing ideas of inclusion presented by the students of the class 1C and 2C.
  • Scuola dell’Infanzia Plesso Sansotta Roma, located in Lazio, for the short film entitles " What's the problem?" collectively presented by the classes A,B,C and D.
  • Istituto Comprensivo di Pino Torinese, located in Piedmont, for the project "Two is better, if you fall there is someone to pick you up" presented by the entire school.

All 186 works submitted are available to view online.

The University Centre of Disability and Inclusion invites all schools to establish, share, and collaboration the ideas behind what is means to be inclusive and define what it means when we say “Inclusion is what we want!” Many thanks to all participants.
