Silvia Todros received M.Sc. in Materials Science from the University of Padova in 2005 and Ph.D. in Materials Engineering at the University of Brescia, Department of Physics and Chemistry, in 2010. She has been visiting researcher at Cranfield University (Bedford, UK), Cranfield Health, in Smart Materials Laboratory, in 2008, working on the development of nanostructured polymers for biosensing applications. During 2010, she had a post-doc position at Sensor Laboratory, CNR-IDASC & University of Brescia, where she was involved in the development and characterization of nanostructured biosensors.

Since 2011, she is working at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Centre for Mechanics of Biological Materials, University of Padova, where she is now holding an Assistant Professor position.

From January 2020, she is also visiting researcher at University College London (Developmental Biology & Cancer Department, Ormond Street Institute of Child Health) working on experimental and computational analysis of hydrogels for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
