Nineteenth and twentieth century instruments

After Poleni, the following professors of physics continued acquiring new scientific instruments, and the collection played throughout the centuries a major role in supporting both research and didactics . Particularly interesting are the instruments connected with well-known nineteenth and twentieth century scientists like Giuseppe Belli, Angelo Bellani, Leopoldo Nobili, Giovanni Battista Amici, Augusto Righi and Bruno Rossi.

The Museum is now collecting some of the most important instruments from the scientific departments of the University. The Museum thus intends to keep very close connections not only with past science but also with the modern achievements that are currently carried out within the University of Padua
